Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching Humanities, Ensure continuity and progression in all subjects. Ensure that your students are aware of the aims and object matter, and of the teaching and learning sequences. Be responsible for your own standards of work in all subjects. This will involve self-evaluation of your planning, preparation, teaching and assessment of work within an agreed school policy including the regular setting and marking of homework. To regularly asses using both formative and summative strategies Establish clear targets for your students in line with whole school policies. Ensure students discipline within your classes. Ensure there is an effective and stimulating environment for the teaching and learning of the subject in your classes. Ensuring that there is a safe working and learning environment in which risks are properly assessed. To help plan and deliver courses of study that are in keeping with the schools policies in terms of content and methodology. Above all teach so that your students enjoy the subjects taught and they can reach their potential

Skills and Experience

Applicant must have Ba degree in History, Geography, Social Studies, etc. (Master preferred) from recognized world class university. Valid teacher license/certificate. 2 years + if international school teaching experience. Mother tongue level of English. Educational values with compliment ISZ's Mission Statement. The ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results. Excellence organizational and ICT skills. An up date knowledge of the latest and best practices in teaching, learning and assessment. Zanzibaris should be given the priorities.
